Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks related to machining, assembly, and materials handling within a warehouse environment. This role is essential for supporting skilled tradespeople and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Assist in the assembly of components using hand tools and power tools.
- Support carpentry tasks, including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
- Operate forklifts for moving materials and products within the warehouse.
- Help with machining processes, ensuring that equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
- Participate in millwork projects by fabricating parts as needed.
- Engage in materials handling, including loading and unloading shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in a millwork shop or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machining processes is an advantage.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment is beneficial.
- A background in carpentry or millwork is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on various tasks as needed.
