Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Workday Cutover Lead to manage the planning and execution of a NextGen Workday implementation. This role requires a proven track record in leading Workday SaaS ERP projects and managing large, cross-functional teams.
The Cutover Lead will collaborate with program teams, technical teams, and implementer resources to ensure a smooth cutover process while mitigating risks and addressing dependencies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Workday cutover planning and execution activities.
- Develop and oversee a detailed cutover schedule, covering technical (reports, integrations, security), functional (HCM, Payroll, Finance, Procurement), and OCM (Communications, Change Management, Training) areas.
- Handle escalations and coordinate solutions for cutover-related issues.
- Track and manage cutover risks, tasks, and project timelines to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with system owners, business/technical SMEs, and workstreams for cutover execution.
- Provide comprehensive cutover activity reporting and develop risk mitigation strategies to support a successful go-live.
- Lead and participate in mock cutover rehearsals and execution.
- Identify and escalate issues that may impact the go-live schedule.
Required Qualifications:
- Workday Implementation Program Management: 5 years (Must have managed multiple Workday components).
- Workday SaaS ERP Experience: 5 years.
- Project Management: 10 years of experience managing large-scale ERP implementations.
- Technical Project Management, Change Management, and Release Management experience.
- Excellent Communication & Leadership Skills to collaborate across business and IT teams.
- Experience in Public Sector or Government Projects is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure Architecture to support Workday implementations.
- Expertise in Project Management Tools, Documentation, and Reporting.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
