We are currently seeking a per diem Physical Therapy Assistant to work weekends 8:30am-4:30pm who will embody the passion and commitment required to deliver the ultimate care for our residents.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree from an approved PTA program or licensure.
- Two years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant preferred and 1 year geriatric experience preferred.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant provides treatments to the resident to assist them in restoring their highest level of functioning.
- Provides treatments to the resident in accordance with the goals and plan set by the Physical Therapist.
- Modifies or adjusts treatment within the limits of the plan of care based upon resident’s reactions. Progresses treatment under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- Independently organizes a caseload that reflects the department’s productivity standard.
- Maintains appropriate record keeping in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
- Participates in the In-service and Continuing Education Programs of the Rehabilitation Department.
- Acts as Clinical Instructor, providing education and supervision to PTA students.
- Maintains a working knowledge of job duties and departmental policies and procedures. Makes recommendations for revisions.
- Actively participates in the departmental Performance Improvement Program.
- Assists in the planning, development or revision of programs within the Rehabilitation Department.
