We are currently seeking Registered Nurses who will embody the passion and commitment required to deliver the ultimate care for our residents to fill our Full Time RN Inservice Educator Position.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Licensed to practice as an RN in New York State, BS / MS degree in nursing or its equivalent, with at least one year of experience in a geriatric / long term care facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
The RN Inservice Educator assists in the planning, development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of educational activities within the Nursing Department.Participates in formal and informal educational activities within the department on all shifts.Participates in orientation program of newly hired departmental employees.Works with all levels of nursing staff to improve the integrity and accuracy of documentation.Participates in the planning and implementing educational programs for the all shifts and weekend staff.Monitors staff development activities for conferences and seminars outside of the building. Maintains ongoing files.Interviews and recommends employment of applicants.Follows and evaluates newly employed staff on all shifts during probationary period. Recommends permanent employment, extension of probation or termination as indicated.Serves on departmental and institutional activities, as assigned. Electronic and Clinical / supervised observation of all nursing staff.Participates in chart audits – monitor ongoing documentation (including electronic) related to regulatory agencies and facility needs.Participation in nursing administration activities, including off shifts and weekend clinical supervision.Benefits Include :
