Job Summary
GUS Education Arizona has partnered with a leading university in the launch a new higher education institution located in Goodyear, Arizona. Reporting to the Director of Campus Operations, the HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in establishing the HR function for this institution, coordinating with outsourced providers, North American and offshore teams to implement and administer HR strategies, processes, and systems. The individual will also work closely with our partner's stakeholders, providing HR services to support Academic staff and faculty positions.
Responsibilities
- Execute HR strategies by implementing HR policies, procedures, and systems, in collaboration with North American and offshore teams and outsourced service providers.
- Oversee and execute end-to-end recruitment for staff and faculty positions.
- Collaborate with leaders to identify staffing needs and develop workforce plans.
- Manage hiring requisitions, job descriptions, postings, screening and interview processes, working closely GUS' support service teams as needed to ensure efficient and effective recruitment and onboarding practices.
- Create and execute onboarding programs to ensure new hires integrate seamlessly into the organization.
- Partner with Directors, line managers and other key stakeholders to ensure HR policies are aligned with overall organizational objectives, clearly communicated and implemented.
- Manage day-to-day HR administration, payroll, benefits, and compliance maters.
- Maintain employment records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable policies and legislation.
- Foster a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture aligned with GUS Education Arizona's mission and values.
- Draft and deliver HR reports to GUS leadership teams, including regular headcount reports, and other ad hoc reports for HR metrics as requested.
- Implement and maintain HR technology and systems to support the evolving needs of the organization, streamline processes, and create efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as organizational policies.
- Develop frameworks for performance management, employee relations, and workplace safety.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to staff and leadership, providing guidance on HR matters and resolving conflicts effectively.
- Design and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Other related duties as assigned.

This position will initially work hybrid / remote, with onsite expectations aligned with the development of the campus.
Salary Range
75,000 to $80,000USD
