Our client is a revolutionary packaging innovation leader across multiple industries offering one of the most sustainable packaging solutions on the market today. The Controller is focused on building financial and operational reporting and controls to bring those technologies to market for the consumer-packaged goods industry. The Controller , in collaboration with the VP Finance and Accounting, manages the accounting functions of the current company and future companies and joint ventures.
Basic Qualifications
- Excellent technical accounting skills
- Thorough understanding of financial management standards and methodologies
- CPA certification strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degrees in accounting or finance
- 10 years of hands-on accounting experience working within ERP systems - NetSuite, SAP, etc.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams
- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with a broad range of audiences including senior management, business and industry partners, as well as individual customers and prospects
- Must be a critical thinker and possess rigorous analytical capabilities
- Solutions-oriented, good attention to detail
- Self-starter and reliable follow-up
- Ability to work independently and process multiple complex projects while prioritizing workflow
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Highly organized with ability to prioritize workload, detail-oriented, and work independently
- Demonstrates respectful behavior and promotes teamwork and communication to encourage an interactive, cooperative, collaborative and customer focused, startup work environment
- Flexibility to adapt in a quickly changing environment
- Ability to travel as required
