Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Transportation Specialist to transport students to and from school, as well as for extracurricular activities. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and knowledge of California laws and regulations pertaining to the driving of a school bus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive District buses to transport pupils to and from school
- Transport students to extracurricular activities when assigned
- Keep the interior and exterior of the bus clean
- Perform safety and maintenance inspections of the bus as required by law
- Enforce bus riding regulations
- Fuel the bus as required
- Report when the bus needs service
- Obey all traffic laws
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- Safe Driving Record
- Knowledge of California laws and regulations pertaining to the driving of a school bus
- Ability to pass DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical
- Ability to pass pre and post-employment drug screening tests
- Ability to pass the required first aid course
- Valid Ca. Driver's License and DMV clearance
- Qualify for the State of California License to drive a school bus
- Ability to obtain and maintain a bus certification
