Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and baking, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating delicious pastries. As a Pastry Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant by producing high-quality baked goods that delight our customers.

Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food production meets quality and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to special requests or dietary restrictions when applicable.
  • Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation tasks while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within the food industry or restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, baking methods, and pastry production.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
  • Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required; passion for the craft is essential.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
