Job Summary
Guthrie County Sheriff's Office is seeking to fill a Full-Time Deputy Sheriff position.
Responsibilities
- Enforcing laws and ordinances to maintain public safety and order.
- Patrol all assigned areas within the County.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and make arrests as necessary.
- Provide assistance and support to victims of crimes or accidents.
- Assisting fire departments and ambulance as needed.
- Serve legal documents such as warrants and subpoenas.
- Assist other law enforcement agencies on joint operations or investigations as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation
- Must meet the physical requirements of the position, which includes running, lifting, and restraining individuals if necessary
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior law enforcement experience or military experience
- Certification as a peace officer or deputy sheriff

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
