What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shuttle bus driver position at Guthrie Health?
Position Summary : Operates vehicles to transport patients, visitors, and staff between Robert Packer Hospital / The Guthrie Clinic and designated areas.
Performs duties of hospital courier and other duties as assigned.
Education, License & Cert : High school education or GED preferred. Capable of reading written instructions and comprehending verbal instructions.
Experience : Must possess a valid CDL license and must have passenger endorsement.
Essential Functions
- Pick up and delivers passengers and materials in a timely manner
- Assist patients, staff, and visitors in entering and exiting vehicle if necessary
- Give directions upon request
- Comply with all state and local traffic regulations
- Inspect vehicle daily
- Maintain vehicle in safe operating condition
- Report all hazards to supervisor immediately
- Arrange for necessary repairs when supervisor unavailable
- Fuel vehicle as necessary
Other Duties : Perform duties of hospital courier as required
