Position Summary

Responsible for various sourcing methods to identify, pre-qualify, and engage potential physician and advanced practice provider candidates in the recruiting process. Manages the candidate pipeline, communicates with candidates throughout the recruitment cycle, and makes recommendations to Recruiters on top candidates to move to the next phase of the recruiting process. The Sourcing Specialist must use passive and direct sourcing techniques such as database mining, Internet searching, participating in and networking within associations, organizations, and cold calling. You must be able to identify high-level candidates, develop and maintain relationships with potential candidates and conduct thorough prescreening and assessment of potential candidates.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Understands and knowledgeable of the diversity of sourcing techniques.
  • Understands and knowledgeable of recruitment industry’s fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Knowledge of PC applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and Database software.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of applicant tracking systems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients.
  • Ability to travel on recruitment assignments.

Education, License, & Cert

Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience required. Additional 2 years of experience in sourcing, internet data mining, networking, and recruiting with demonstrated experience recruiting for numerous positions at one time within various disciplines, in multiple functions or regions. Certifications in AAPPR in Foundations and Recruiting and Talent Acquisition Certification preferred at time of hire or must be obtained within 1 year of employment.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a recruitment, sales, or administrative role. Computer skills, Microsoft Office software experience required (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Must possess excellent communication skills, customer service skills and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize work in accordance with changing deadlines. Experience in a healthcare or corporate talent acquisition department highly desired.

Essential Functions

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Performs general research regarding market information relative to the recruiting campaign and the provider’s requirements to develop the recruiting strategy for the role.
  2. Creates, edits, maintains, and updates open job postings on external job boards, such as PracticeLink, Practice Match and Indeed. Stays well-informed on current and emerging technologies to proactively identify new tools for identifying qualified talent.
  3. Enters and maintains accurate information in the Applicant Tracking System including but not limited to, job posting content, applicant tracking and response, and other required data.
  4. Screens and qualifies candidate leads and make recommendations to move forward in the recruiting process. Evaluates candidates work history, determines the candidate’s medical education, post-graduate training, current medical practice situation, and verifies physician’s qualifications to match the needs of the hiring physician.
  5. Manages timely responses to applicants including but not limited to: receipt of application, application status, and specific information reconciling applicant qualifications relative to job requirements.
  6. Communicates status of searches with the Talent Acquisition Team on a consistent and timely basis.
  7. Utilizes social websites to build a network of physicians, providers, residency programs, and leads by advertising, in-mailing, researching candidates, smart targeting, and connecting with key prospects. Collects CV’s to develop a database of potential candidates for future consideration, including a diverse pipeline of passive candidates to target the recruitment campaign.
  8. Identifies potential Physicians via cold calling and email blasts on recruiting websites, physician referrals, and other sources to attract a pool of qualified and diverse candidates for specific recruiting orders.
  9. Contacts potential candidates to coordinate and confirm next phase and interview schedules. Create a detailed screening analysis and update all information regarding candidates’ progress in the company database. Escalates candidate selection issues and concerns to management.
  10. Work with both external and internal sources to find the best candidates for open positions and interacts with various departments and physicians in a positive, professional manner.
  11. Performs other job functions as assigned or requested.

Other Duties

  1. Conduct process improvement activities on a continual basis.
  2. Responsible for compliance in the areas of EEO and other legal requirements.
  3. Attend regular Human Resource meetings as scheduled.
  4. Participate in employee activities, as necessary.
  5. Understand all new hire paperwork: offer letter, drug form, benefit packet, etc.
  6. Other duties as assigned.
