Job Description
Position Summary: Responsible for monitoring pacemaker and ICD function as related to cardiac rhythm to identify, record, and report normal and abnormal heart rhythm patterns. Also, responsible for assisting in clerical duties, communication, and reception duties in the Arrhythmia Center. Education, License & Cert: High school education or GED required. Experience: Previous experience in patient interaction as well as in Holtor monitoring and EKG’s preferred. Essential Functions: 1. Prepares patient and assists in rhythm/device evaluation for clinic visits. 2. Performs limited programming of devices under the direct supervision of the RN/physician. 3. Performs and obtains remote follow‐up transmissions. 4. Demonstrates adept computer skills with various forms of documentation. 5. Supports receptionist functions within the department. 6. Assists with supply and equipment management. Other Duties: 1.
