Position Summary:
Coordinates and administers internal and external staffing efforts and initiatives throughout The Guthrie Clinic. Recruiting efforts focused on Leadership, Allied Health and RN positions.
Education, License & Cert:
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required.
Experience:
3 years prior experience performing duties specifically relevant to recruitment and general HR services in a healthcare environment is strongly preferred. Experience in developing and implementing multi‐faceted local and national recruitment strategies. Knowledge of applicable employment, compensation/benefits, and employee relations laws and regulations preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Computer skills, Microsoft Office software experience required (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Our multi-specialty group practice of more than 500 physicians and 302 advanced practice providers offers 47 specialties through a regional office network providing primary and specialty care in 22 communities. Guthrie Medical Education Programs include General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Anesthesiology and Orthopedic Surgery Residency, as well as Cardiovascular, Gastroenterology and Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship programs. Essential Functions:
- Maintains complete understanding of positions available throughout The Guthrie Clinic. Screens internal and external candidates to ensure they meet the minimum requirements of jobs posted and facilitates the hiring process.
- Develops and implements a Recruitment Strategy (local and/or national) for vacant position(s). Recruitment strategies to include: Advertising; Web Posting; Job Fair Attendance etc.
- Recommend changes and revisions to any policies that affect the recruitment process.
- Ability to multi‐task and prioritize work in accordance with changing deadlines.
- Ability to overcome objections and manage projects to a close.
- Maintain understanding of current wage scales and benefit materials applicable throughout The Guthrie Clinic. Use that information appropriately as a part of the staffing process.
- Access personnel files and pull relevant information to assist in the internal selection process for internal bidding.
- Ensures external and internal candidates meet regulatory and Employee Health requirements including licensure, certification, background checks, work authorization, health clearance, etc. prior to the first day of work
- Actively involves other areas of Human Resources when necessary to ensure quality service is provided to employees, managers, and leadership.
- Focus on continuous quality customer service forging a collaborative partnership with operational customers.
- Maintain current understanding of employment issues surrounding the hiring process and other related areas.
- Conduct process improvement activities on a continual basis.
- Attend regular Human Resource meetings as scheduled.
- Participate in employee activities as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
