Guy Carpenter is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Singapore office :

Vice President - Reinsurance Treaty Broker - Global Clients, APAC

We will rely on you to :

  • Manage multinational accounts across multiple lines of business.
  • Conduct market research / analysis and prepare presentation materials for new business, renewals and prospective clients.
  • Lead negotiations to obtain favourable outcomes for clients in regard to pricing, terms and conditions.
  • Ability to discuss with clients treaty pricing and Catastrophe Modelling results and provide solutions based on these technical outcomes.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, prospects, colleagues and insurers.
  • Project manage large complex accounts involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market changes and conditions to better serve clients and secure the best terms.
  • Create and present renewal proposals and participate in presentations to prospective clients.
  • Tap on Guy Carpenter’s extensive global network for access to unparalleled expertise and knowledge to provide the best solutions for our clients.
  • Manage business development / revenue generation activities.
  • Ensure timely flow of materials and follow-up on contract documentation.
  • Demonstrate an excellent grasp of product lines, markets and available solutions, as well as staying up to date with changing risks and market trends.

What you need to have :

  • Ideally 7 to 10 years of treaty broking experience in managing multinational accounts.
  • Technical reinsurance expertise in property, personal accident, and / or casualty segments is preferred.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of treaty pricing and Catastrophe Analytics.
  • Financial literacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and / or projects.
  • Outstanding analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and to work in a team.
