Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager in the Civil Engineering industry to
oversee the planning, execution, and completion of civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and quality, ensuring that each project is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with industry regulations and standards.
As a Project Manager, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, contractors, and clients, while leading the entire project lifecycle from conception through to final delivery.
Key duties/responsibilities
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Collaborate with team members, sub-contractors, and clients to define project scope, schedule, objectives, and deliverables.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Establish project goals and milestones, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Prepare detailed budgets and monitor project costs to ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Procure necessary materials, equipment, and labor for the project, optimizing resource
utilization. - Assess and mitigate project risks to avoid cost overruns or delays.
- Team Leadership & Communication:
- Lead, motivate, and coordinate project teams, including engineers, designers, technicians, subcontractors, professionals, and other personnel.
- Ensure effective communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Schedule regular meetings to provide project updates, track progress, and resolve any issues or roadblocks.
- Quality Control & Safety:
- Enforce compliance with local, state, and federal regulations as well as industry standards and codes.
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure standards of work are met.
- Implement and monitor health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all involved.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks, delays, or issues early in the project lifecycle and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained in a timely manner.
- Project Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on project status, including budget, timeline, quality, and safety metrics.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including supplements, change orders,
submittals, and communication logs.
- Project Closeout:
- Document lessons learned and post-project evaluations to improve future project performance.
Job Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and having a PMP (Project
Management Professional) certification are a plus.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering project management, with a focus on infrastructure, transportation, construction, or similar sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully managing medium to large-scale civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Experience working with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with project management software systems, budgeting and financial systems.
Experience with Deltek Ajera is a plus. - Ability to read and understand roadway and bridge plans.
- Understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
