Who Are You?
As a Server, you will be the face of our restaurant, responsible for providing guests with a memorable dining experience from start to finish. Your warm demeanor, attention to detail, and knowledge of our menu will ensure that guests feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout their visit. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Greeting Guests: Welcome guests warmly as they arrive, escorting them to their tables and providing menus
- Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with our menu offerings, including daily specials and beverage options, and provide recommendations to guests
- Order Taking: Take guests' food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests and dietary preferences are noted
- Service Excellence: Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately, ensuring presentation meets our standards of quality
- Check-Ins: Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or requests promptly
- Upselling: Utilize suggestive selling techniques to promote additional menu items, desserts, and beverages to enhance guests' dining experience
- Payment Processing: Process guests' payments accurately, handling cash and credit card transactions with attention to detail
- Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of orders; Work cooperatively with fellow chefs and kitchen staff to achieve collective goals and uphold a positive work environment; Complete opening/side work/closing duties in a timely and efficient manner to ensure we set the restaurant and team for success
- Cleaning and Setup: Assist with clearing and resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and assisting with opening and closing duties as needed
- Compliance: Adhere to all restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations and alcohol service guidelines; Follow the culture and values of the restaurant; Maintain time-management skills & able to perform high-quality work
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Up-to-date Food Handlers Card
- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
