What We Are Looking For

GVEC is looking to hire you for the position of Multimedia Design Intern to deliver the unexpected with a willingness to continuously develop yourself, your department, and our organization. As a Multimedia Design Intern, you will help develop and curate graphic design, photos and video necessary to support the marketing needs of the GVEC brand and its services. As part of a collaborative creative team, this position will create on-brand visually impactful materials for both online and offline (print) channels. Proofreading and writing headlines, when necessary, may also be included. This position offers an opportunity to showcase your artistic skills in graphic design, motion graphics and multimedia production as well as gain new skills from our experienced professionals and creative programs, tools and resources

Your Pay

The pay for this role is $18.00/hr. and will be commensurate based on your skills, qualifications and experience. In addition, GVEC ties cash bonuses to a multitude of organizational benchmarks set forth annually.

How You’ll Help

• Assist with photo and video shoots and/or archiving of marketing collateral as necessary
• Create online and other digital marketing including development and/or maintenance of creative design, content, editing and optimization

• Print marketing collateral including development and/or maintenance of creative design, content and print production
• Develop and/or curate graphics and content to support the social media program
• Design and place ads with a variety of vendors
• Assist with creative design execution for Texas Co-op Power magazine and other high impact, high visibility corporate publications
• MARCOM distribution of marketing activities
• Develop scripts/storyboards and capture content to produce marketing videos
• Other duties as assigned

Experience/Skills You’ll Need

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
• Professionalism regarding time management, initiative, engagement and meeting deadlines
• Detail-oriented and responsive
• Collaborative team player with individual accountability
• Flexibility to work after hours or weekends as necessary
• Ability to work during extreme weather conditions as necessary

Preferred Experience/Skills

• Proficiency in Canva
• Proficiency in Facebook, Ex, Linked In, Instagram a plus
