- Coordinate tasks with groundskeepers as assigned by senior supervisor or as dictated by daily events. Supervise groundskeepers. Actively participate along side college groundskeepers in accomplishing assigned work. Allocate equipment and materials to accomplish tasks.
- Communicate job expectations and standards of performance to subordinates and review work to ensure it was accomplished in a proper and professional manner.
- Conduct periodic inspections of college grounds and of college facilities to ensure departmental standards are being met. Report findings to departmental manager.
- Maintain departmental equipment and vehicles ensuring equipment and vehicles are functioning properly. Coordinate repairs with in-house mechanic or outside vendors
- Coordinate and participate with special event set up and take down of event material
- Act on behalf of senior supervisor with college staff and administrators and service vendors when senior supervisor is absent or otherwise unavailable.
- Assist departmental manager in identifying, evaluating and justifying departmental needs and requests to college administrators.
- Supervise training of new and current groundskeepers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
