What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pipefitter position at GVR Infotek LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Run piping through active industrial production facilities
- Work with butt weld and socket weld systems (up to 8” diameter steel pipe)
- Interpret plan view and elevation drawings
- Coordinate installation of valves and instruments as per P&IDs
- Generate isometric drawings for shop fabrication and field installation
- Route piping in the field where needed
- Work with carbon/stainless steel, welded, threaded, and Victaulic piping systems
Must-Have Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID and orthogonal drawings
- Experience with pipeline layout including changes in direction, elevation, and flow
- Strong understanding of plans, specifications, P&IDs, and ISOs
- Consistent work history – no more than 3 jobs in the past 10 years
Requirements:
- Willingness to travel daily or weekly between project sites
- Flexible to work in both clean (food-grade) and dirty (recycling) environments
- Availability for 40 hours/week, including potential overtime or night shifts
- Ability to work outside your trade when needed
- 2–5 years of industrial construction experience preferred
- Familiarity with ASME codes and standards
- Effective communicator, self-starter, and able to work solo or in a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
