Logistics Manager
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to :
- Provide required customer service levels, support sales growth initiatives, and minimize total cost of materials acquisition and ownership
- Coordinate inventory control activities through the Purchasing, Production Planning, and Warehousing functions
- Will oversee Buyers, Shipping / Receiving and Warehouse personnel.
- Ensure proper inventory levels to meet unit objectives
- Manage inventory programs, as established
- Review daily MRP reports and advise Buyers to order, expedite, or defer materials to support production schedules and timely customer order deliveries
- Evaluate and decide MRP planning rules and order quantities for new inventory items. Review, analyze and adjust MRP planning rules and order quantities for established inventory items
- Monitor, measure and report inventory accuracy. Review all adjustments to the perpetual inventory.
- Manage excess and obsolete inventory program
- Make recommendations for disposition
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor and Accounting to administrate the Cycle Count process
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in Materials Management processes and systems
