Summary:

Coordinates the organization's corporate program management initiatives. Runs organizational program and project initiatives including their development and prioritization. Works with divisional leaders to define, prioritize and develop projects and program strategies that contribute to the organization’s overall integrated effectiveness. Plans, prioritizes, advises, and coordinates the work activities and professional development of Business Analysts/Project Managers in ensuring successful execution of enterprise projects. This role will guide the business/project team in partnering with business application owners throughout the enterprise, promoting enterprise solutions and guiding the organization in adopting and executing GVTC’s business systems project lifecycle methodology and project management methodology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Serves as Program/Project Coordinator to help establish, monitor, track, and report GVTC’s top corporate priority projects and initiatives through dashboards/scorecards.
  • Maintains Corporate Project Governance, Policies, Workflows and Approvals in coordination with the Manager PMO.
  • Assists with administration of incentive and bonus related programs for projects.
  • Mentors all team members to ensure projects adhere to the company project process by assisting all core project team members through entire project life cycle.
  • Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of a program of complex inter-related projects and initiatives supporting an overall integrated, unified Enterprise objective/solution to build operational capacity in support of growth initiatives.
  • Assists in developing overall coordinated Enterprise wide and integrated program timeline perspective of multiple project plans considering the interdependencies between multiple projects and initiatives & multiple divisions supporting the overall program.
  • Oversees multiple projects delivery and execution including integration and dependencies between the projects to deliver a holistic solution carried out on schedule within a program.
  • Assists with the tracking of CAPEX/OPEX budget for projects.
  • Participate with business/project owners & SMEs in day-to-day activities to continue learning and acquiring an expanding base of subject matter and systems knowledge.
  • Ensure business/project owners & SME’s convey information between business units, the customer community, and the software development and support teams.
  • Assist business/project owners in identifying stakeholders and investigating, analyzing, and mapping of business process flows.
  • Assist business/project owners in identifying key deliverables.
  • Foster positive and enthusiastic collaboration
  • Provide on-the-job training to new staff members.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and users.

· Promote learning and awareness of current business analysis and project management industry best practices.

· Assist in analyzing ingrained business processes and identify process improvement opportunities.

· Assist in data analysis to identify issues and process improvement opportunities.

· Facilitate collaboration between IT, Process, and Business representatives.

  • Assist in root cause analysis and problem identification.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and direct activities of large multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Familiar with standard PMO and project-based concepts and practices

  • Knowledge and experience with IT software development, systems integration, and system testing processes and disciplines.
  • Knowledge of data and process modeling preferred.
  • Experience in Telecommunications BSS/OSS systems preferred.
  • Requirements definition, RFP/RFI development, Functional Specifications, Use Cases, GUI, Screen, Web interface designs, etc.
  • Software testing methods, tools, and disciplines.
  • Communication, collaboration, facilitation, teaching, and coaching.

Education/Experience:Position requires a BA/BS degree and 7-10 years related experience; or the combination of education and experience that would enable performance of the full scope of the position. Minimum of five (5) years project and/or PMO strategic management experience reporting into Company executive team or contracted and leadership experience in business analysis. PMP Certification preferred. Experience with telecommunications and BSS/OSS applications is highly desired.

Language Ability: Requires the ability to teach, train, mentor and influence. Ability to facilitate investigative interviews and to listen, discern, and assist in capturing end user needs. Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical project participants. Must be able to effectively convey technical information and complex concepts to non-technical users.

Reasoning Ability: Highly effective analytical, problem solving and judgment skills. Requires the ability to assimilate, aggregate, analyze, and summarize data and information from multiple sources, define problem statements, and work collaboratively with project team members to define requirements and evaluate potential solutions.

Technical Skills: Basic PC and keyboarding skills required. Project Management software (Microsoft Project, GANT, Visio etc.) experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
