Responsibilities and Duties
* Proper age verification of all customers entering the store. 18 to enter and shop and 21 for all Tobacco-related purchases are required by law!
* Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality is an absolute must.
* Comply and adhere to all policies set forth by GWC as explained in employee manual, store operations manual and training while continuing to maintain compliance with all policies and procedures thereafter.
* Work well with others and be a team player. Complete tasks together in a timely manner as instructed, but also utilize down time wisely.
* Be aware of current promotional sales and events and relay them to the customer upon entry to the store.
* Excellent sales and customer service skills. An upbeat and energetic personality is a must!
* Self-control to put cell phones away during shifts and pay attention to customers and tasks.
* Welcome customers into the store with proper greetings.
* Maintain sales floor appearance as well as other areas of the store not accessible to customers. This includes cleaning, stocking products, and merchandising as well as other tasks as seen fit by GWC.
* Process point-of-sale purchases efficiently and accurately, utilizing our POS register system.
* Comply with inventory control procedures.
Ideal candidates will need to meet the following criteria but not limited to:
* Be Punctual and Reliable - Be on time, and arrive for all scheduled shifts.
* Have a neat, clean, and mature appearance
* Highly motivated and energetic, customer service driven.
* Own your own vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.
* Flexible, rotating "schedule" availability - nights and weekends are required! College-level students are welcome to apply!
* Ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers.
* High School Diploma or GED required, college degree a plus.
* Previous retail/customer service experience preferred, but not required.
* Ability to stand for long periods and lifting is required.
* Looking for career-oriented people who are serious about advancement.
