GROUNDS ATTENDANT (Part-Time)
Georgia World Congress Center Authority is currently seeking Grounds Attendants to join its team. The Grounds Attendants will be responsible for the cleaning and maintenance program of the exterior grounds, parking lots and parking decks. The Grounds Attendants will perform day to day grounds maintenance activities, to include but not limited to: removal of bulk trash, leaves, tree limbs, distribution of equipment, preventive maintenance on gutter troughs, such other duties and functions as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain exterior grounds and certain interior areas as required, using basic cleaning methods.
- Inspect and clean exterior grounds, parking lots, and parking decks daily.
- Monitor and inspect the work of exterior plant and landscaping maintenance contractors.
- Notify Operations Manager about any discrepancies.
- Monitor facility entrances and floor areas during adverse weather conditions.
- Implement basic safety procedures during daily routine.
- Keep exterior free of unsightly weeds.
- Notify Operations Manager of equipment and facilities requiring repair and replacement.
- Complete daily tasks assigned in a cooperative manner.
- Perform general manual labor associated with housekeeping and set-up functions.
- Such other duties, functions, special projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager, Operations Coordinator or Leads.
- Ability to operate carts, pickup trucks, forklifts and various landscaping equipment.

- Ability to work an irregular work schedule as required to perform duties and responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as grounds technician or comparable position for a public facility or comparable private complex is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
