Georgia World Congress Center Authority is currently seeking Guest Services Specialists to join its team. The Guest Services Specialist is responsible for greeting each guest, answering questions the guest might have regarding an event, the Georgia World Congress Center campus, or downtown Atlanta. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Extend a warm, genuine welcome and fond farewell to all on our campus
- Exemplify GWCCA core values in every interaction
- Provide guests with any assistance including the location of their destination and escorting them when appropriate
- Inform guests of GWCCA services and downtown amenities
- Anticipate and address guests’ service needs to exceed their expectations
- Ensure personal appearance is clean and professional
- Responsible for working coat and baggage check. This may include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to thirty pounds without assistance
- Listen to any concerns that may arise and work to resolve any issues that guests may experience during their visit
- Monitor visitor materials and displays in and around the information desks/kiosks
- Conduct attendee surveys using iPad
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
- Ability to prioritize tasks & to manage workload using own initiative
- Ability to multi-task & work under pressure with limited resources
- High degree of integrity and compliance
- Thoroughness in task approach, follow-up & completion;
- Excellent computer skills

- Research and interpret relevant information from a range of sources

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the hospitality industry OR currently pursuing a degree in hospitality or related field
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) and available work a minimum of 16 hours per month
- Employees must be able to stand or walk for an extended period
- Must have a working knowledge of computers, connectivity/internet use, and familiarity with iPads
- Must be able to demonstrate sound oral and written communication, multilingual preferred
