The Savannah Convention Center is currently seeking a Set-up Attendant (Part Time) to join our family! Be a part of our team at the 330,000 square foot Savannah Convention Center currently undergoing an expansion and located directly across from historic Savannah and on the Savannah River.
The part-time Setup Attendant shall be responsible for performing routine duties and completing Setup requirements associated with the day-to-day activities of the Facility Operations Department. Duties include but are not limited to: manual labor, event Setup and tear down activities, compliance with equipment handling guidelines, and such other functions and duties as required by the Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lift moderate amounts of weight in the form of tables, chairs, stanchions, staging floor panels and dance floor panels and other equipment as required.
- Push equipment carts, door panels and staging units, and other equipment as required.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Maintain equipment by following established Setup procedures.
- Ensure that all storage rooms are kept clean and in an orderly manner.
- Notify Operations Manager of equipment and facilities in need of repair and replacement.
- Notify Operations Manager of supplies requiring replenishment.
- Interact with other departmental personnel in a team oriented personality.
- Complete daily assignments as assigned and in a cooperative manner.
- Meet work schedule as assigned by management. Be prepared to work unusual shifts and hours.
- Such other duties, functions, special projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
- High degree of integrity and compliance.
- Thoroughness in task approach, follow-up and completion
- Self-awareness
- Ability to multi-task & work under pressure with limited resources
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work an irregular work schedule as required to perform duties and responsibilities
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Experience in providing customer service directly to customers is preferred. Multi-lingual a plus.
- Must have the ability to demonstrate basic Setup techniques.
- Must have experience or training in providing quality customer service.
