The Ultrasound Lab Instructor will be responsible for facilitating hands-on learning experiences for students enrolled in our ultrasound technician program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic medical sonography and a passion for educating and mentoring future healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate laboratory sessions for students enrolled in the ultrasound technician program.
- Demonstrate proper ultrasound techniques and procedures to students.
- Provide guidance and feedback to students to enhance their skills and proficiency in ultrasound imaging.
- Supervise students during lab activities to ensure safety and adherence to protocols.
- Assist in the development and implementation of lab curriculum and educational materials.
- Collaborate with other instructors and faculty members to integrate lab activities with classroom instruction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ultrasound lab equipment and facilities.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and incorporate relevant updates into lab activities.
- Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development activities as required.
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field required; Bachelore's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer.
- Previous teaching or instructional experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively work with diverse groups of students.
- Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and software.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
