Job Description
The Adult Day Care Associate will be responsible for providing receptionist duties, questions and concerns, as well as being a point of contact for the public and assisting with the senior clients experiencing limited capacity and neural decline. This position will assist and facilitate elderly clients' engagements and provide light housekeeping duties in designated senior clients' homes.
Essential Duties
- Assisting in maintaining publication display in the lobby
Unlocking the facility and assisting clients that have arrived early
Assisting co-workers by handing out lunch trays and beverages and assisting clients with eating food
Assisting co-workers by taking client blood pressures, heights and weights, and other demographic information
- Maintaining restrooms and providing light cleaning as needed
- Supporting daily operations of the senior center, such as calling bingo, passing out program supplies, assisting with room set up for events and activities
- Assisting elderly clients with paying bills, reading mail, maintaining personal hygiene, taking showers, etc.
- This job requires fingerprinting
- The grade for this position is A12(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience working with seniors
