What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Recreation Leader position at Gwinnett County?
The Recreation Leader position will support rental operations at various Gwinnett County facilities. This position will assist with proper maintenance of facilities and grounds, perform general housekeeping and ensuring the facility is in safe condition. This position requires a flexible schedule to include weekend and holiday hours.
Essential Duties
- Meet with potential renters, schedule appointments and manage customer needs
- Efficiently use rental registration software to manage bookings, track schedules, and communicate with renters/staff
- Perform routine checks to ensure rental areas are ready for rentals.
- Present detailed and engaging facility tours to customers
- Communicate effectively on the phone, by email and through two-way radio.
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed to accommodate operational needs
- Assist team with setup of facilities and arrangement of rooms for rentals, classes, camps, or special events
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned
- This job requires fingerprinting.
Salary will be $16.80
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- Valid Georgia driver’s license
- CPR/First Aid certification within the first 90 days of employment.
- An associate degree in hospitality, facility/building maintenance, or related field
- Two years rental/hospitality, facility and building maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience
