Job Description
This position is responsible for issuing parts, routine shipping and receiving, tracking inventory, and housekeeping tasks for all DWR Warehouses. The selected candidate will maintain inventory by conducting monthly physical counts and reconciling variances. In addition, this individual will perform data entry and gather information for various tracking reports. The incumbent must be able to read material request and verify the material matches the request, restocking the material when returned. This position will require operating material handling equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts in order to move equipment and supplies safely and efficiently in the warehouse. This class is responsible for keeping the warehouse secure, safe, clean, and orderly. This position is located at the Lanier Filter Plant.

Minimum Qualifications
WAREHOUSE TECH III 
  • High School diploma, or GED
  • Three years of automated warehouse or inventory control experience
  • Or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Forklift certification must be obtained within 90 days
The Grade for this position is B21(2).  

This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.

The 14 departments that make up the executive side are Police Services, Fire and Emergency Services, Corrections, Communications, Support Services, Financial Services, Community Services, Human Resources, Information Technology Services, Law, Planning and Development, Water Resources, Child Advocacy & Juvenile Services, and Transportation. Each department is run by a director who is charged with managing operations in a manner which stresses the County’s values.
 
In addition to the executive side of County government, certain services are provided through Constitutional officers and independent elected officials. These external offices are created by the Georgia Constitution or through state law. In Gwinnett, they include the Sheriff, Tax Commissioner, District Attorney, Solicitor, Probate Court Judge, and Chief Magistrate.
