This Position :

We are seeking a talented and experienced Sr. DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our infrastructure and DevOps strategy. As a senior member of the engineering team, youll take ownership of building scalable, resilient systems, optimizing deployment processes, and mentoring teammates on DevOps best practices. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of designing enterprise-grade solutions, improving operational efficiency, and driving innovation through automation.

The Expectation :

• DevOps Leadership : Own and drive DevOps initiatives, setting strategic goals to improve CI / CD pipelines, infrastructure scalability, and operational performance.
• No-Touch CI / CD Pipeline : Architect, implement, and manage fully automated CI / CD pipelines to ensure seamless code deployment across all environments (dev, QA, staging, production).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Lead the design, implementation, and management of IaC using tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to automate provisioning and configuration of AWS resources.
• Cloud Infrastructure : Build and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud solutions leveraging AWS services (e.g., Lambda, Aurora, SNS, SQS, EventBridge).
• Deployment Strategies : Develop advanced deployment strategies, such as blue / green and canary deployments, to ensure zero-downtime releases.
• Security and Compliance : Implement robust security frameworks, including zero-trust security models, to safeguard systems and data in compliance with industry best practices.
• Monitoring and Logging : Establish proactive monitoring and logging systems (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK stack) to improve visibility, ensure system health, and troubleshoot incidents effectively.
• Automation and Efficiency : Drive automation initiatives across all operational workflows, writing reusable scripts and tools to eliminate manual processes.
• Team Mentorship : Collaborate and mentor team members on DevOps practices, sharing expertise on tools, processes, and automation strategies.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing : Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and best practices to ensure team alignment and operational clarity.

gWorks is a hybrid work environment, and preference will be given to candidates who are local to the Omaha, Nebraska area. However, highly qualified candidates who reside outside of the local area and are able to work remotely will also be considered.
