Position : Excavator Operator
Location : Sarasota / Bradenton, South Florida
Job Summary : Operating an excavator to move waste, with a focus on safety and quality. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, loading / unloading materials, and moving items within designated areas while adhering to safety regulations.
Schedule :
Full-time position with Monday-Friday availability and occasional weekends.
Compensation : 20 - $23 hourly
Responsibilities :
Operate heavy equipment following all safety procedures
Ensure the heavy equipment remains in clean working order and promptly report any issues to the supervisor
Maintain a safe and compliant work area at all times
Move waste material to a tipper trailer or on the walking floor
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Two years of experience operating excavators preferred
Must reside in the South Florida - Sarasota / Bradenton area.
Physical Requirements :
Vision : adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions
Hearing : Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals
Speaking : Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying sizes with or without amplification
Equipment Operation : Able to operate a wide range of tools
Carrying : able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs / 9kg.
Lifting : able to lift up to 30lbs / 14kg.
Squatting / Kneeling : able to squat or kneel
Standing : able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information
Walking : Able to walk through the shop and other outside elements
Required :
Pass a drug Screen and a background check
