Essential Job Functions
Lift
1. Technician will vertically transfer a portable metal detector weighing 25-100 lbs from a start height of 0 inches when it is laying on the ground to an end height of 88 inches when standing upright. This requires 60 lbs of force from 0 inches to 36 inches and 30 lbs of force from 36 inches to overhead. This will be performed up to 2 times per day
Carry
2. Technician will horizontally transfer a tool bag weighing up to 25lbs a distance of 500 feet up to 2 times per hour
Lift and Carry
3. Technician will vertically transfer a portable metal detector battery weighing up to 40lbs from a start height of 0 inches and horizontally transferring it a distance of 30 feet up to 2 times per day
Push-Pull
4. Technician will horizontally transfer a metal detector utilizing a pallet jack with a weight up to 100 lbs for a distance of 150 feet up to 2 times per day
Couple
5. Technician will grasp, twist, or squeeze a screwdriver, allen wrench, and drill for 1 minute up to 8 times per day
Climb
6. Ascend and descend 3 ladder rungs with a height of 8 inches from the floor up to 2 times per day
Repetitive Posture (Static)
7. Technician will need to assume a static posture to work at a distance 0 inches from the floor for up to 3 minutes up to 8 times per day
8. Assumes a seated posture up to 4 hours continuously
Stand
9. Assumes a standing posture up to 1 hour continuously
Walk
10. Ambulate a distance up to 10000 feet in one shift
Other Technician will need to be prepared for both hot and cold environments since events being worked can occur in all weather conditions.
