Quality Assurance Engineer III

GXM is seeking to hire an experienced and talented Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Tester with a passion for high quality software development to join our Quality Assurance team. A candidate should have experience writing and executing test cases, detecting and reporting defects, and documenting test results. The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer / Tester will work closely with development teams to ensure that software requirements are met on multiple projects. This position will allow the tester to expand their experiences in the latest technologies, as desired, including Docker, Kubernetes, Vault, Harbor, Cucumber, WebdriverIO, GitLab, and more. This is a senior role with a candidate with extensive experience in application and systems testing. Must have the ability to manage, mentor, and coach junior testers and provide guidance on best practices in software testing.

Duties include but are not limited to

• Design, develop, modify, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on software requirements
• Perform manual functional testing to validate new features and identify defects
• Perform manual API testing to validate new endpoints and identify defects
• Conduct detailed analysis of test results found through manual testing and support the development team with the identification, escalation, and resolution of related risks and issues
• Utilize testing knowledge and experience to advise leadership on the progress of testing activities
• Work closely with technical leads and product owners to develop plans, schedules, and present time estimation for testing activities to be performed
• Update and maintain test specifications and test plans via source control software
• Configure, administer and troubleshoot software test environment
• Contribute in sprint planning, sprint review, backlog refinement, and retrospective meetings
• Ability to manage, mentor, and coach junior testers and provide guidance on best practices in software testing
