Seeking energetic, fun loving, young-at-heart edu-tainers to help stimulate bright young minds through the power of musical and sensory engagement. Should be comfortable working with the littlest of people and expressing themselves with feeling in a bright, warm environment that's part-classroom, part-playground, and all fun. Lesson plans and training are provided.
All employees should have:
- Pleasant and tuneful singing voice
- Love of singing, music making, and teaching
- Experience working with young children (newborns-6 year olds)
- Ability to teach children's songs by rote
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to facilitate a group
- Playful and energetic teaching style
- Ability to work in and out of multiple child populations including, but not limited to:
-Early-childhood
-Preschool
-Special-ed
- Fluent in non-English languages a plus, especially Spanish
- Retail/customer service experience a plus
Play & Learn Instructor
All instruction is play based to help children and their caregivers develop cognitively, physically, and socially. Activities include sensory-based activities for babies, early-movement skills for infants, up to imaginative-creative play for preschoolers. There are 9 different concepts with various focuses that are skill-appropriate for each class.
Music Instructor
We take a playful and active approach to musical learning. Our aim is to nurture emerging musical expression in young children through a focus on key “Musical Building Blocks” and the exploration of 16 different musical styles. Parents attend all classes with their children as they explore unique songs, play instruments and musical games. Must have music education in voice and/or instrument.
Art Instructor
We believe in process over product - every piece of art will look different because every child is different. We focus on fine-motor skills while teaching about textures, shapes, and colors. Art Classes include a read-aloud with snacks, and there’s great freedom of expression available for the instructor.
Preschool Play & Prep Instructor
Children are provided the opportunity to learn in a classroom-type setting without their caregivers, but still use play activities to discover the world around them. Early STEAM lessons as well as sensory table time is provided for students.
Party Leader
Lead children and their caregivers through age-appropriate activities to celebrate private birthday parties or public holiday/seasonal parties. Parties are longer and even more energetic than everyday classes.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
