Job Summary
Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment? Gyoza Bar is a new and exciting modern Japanese Restaurant looking for Server Assistants to join our team and help provide our guests with top-notch service.
Responsibilities
- Greeting and hosting guests warmly and with a positive attitude, ensuring they feel welcomed.
- Assist Servers and Bartenders by delivering food and beverages to guests quickly and efficiently.
- Answering phone calls and taking carry-out orders / packing delivery orders when needed.
- Maintain clean and organized dining areas and tables, including bussing tables and Bar area.
- Ensure guest needs are met by clearing dishes, and setting up tables.
- Support the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Ability to take phone calls for to-go orders and assist customers with accuracy and professionalism.
- Help maintain a positive, upbeat atmosphere for guests and fellow team members.
- Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs (for handling trays, supplies, bus tubs and occasional heavy items).
Requirements / Qualifications
- Prior experience in a restaurant setting is a plus, but not required—willing to train the right person!
- Familiarity with food safety and preparation guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Positive attitude and a team player mentality.
- Ability to stay calm and organized during fast paced service periods.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by the business needs.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- English fluency is required (Japanese or Spanish is a bonus!)
- Driver's license & reliable transportation required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
