GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is seeking an Entry-Level Field Engineer to join our team in the technical execution of transportation, building, energy and other infrastructure projects in our Trumbull, CT office. A successful candidate must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently. Preferable candidates will have an applicable engineering or scientific background and a willingness to travel locally and regionally are essential for this position. A professional attitude and demeanor are a must. Job-specific, on-site training will be provided.

Key Duties:
- Perform outdoor, all-season field tasks such as deep foundation installation observation and testing, subsurface explorations, environmental testing, and construction monitoring
- Perform technical aspects of projects under the supervision of project managers or principals
- Work with project teams on geotechnical engineering projects that involve field work, data collection and evaluation and engineering analysis for transportation, building, waterfront, energy and other infrastructure projects
- Write drafts of field and engineering reports and specifications
- Operation and oversight of geotechnical engineering systems, including data collection and system maintenance and repairs
- Reducing engineering data and creating interpretive reports for clients, preparing plans and construction schedules
- Non-destructive testing of deep foundations
- Construction monitoring and documenting geotechnical aspects of construction projects
- GZA emphasizes a One Company environment, and as a member of our team, you may be asked to assist on projects and tasks outside of your primary responsibilities
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering preferred
- Highly motivated self-starter with a professional attitude
- Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to perform field tasks and activities
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel at local and regional levels
- 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus
