GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is looking for motivated Entry-Level Environmental Engineer to join our technical practice in our Norwood, MA office. As an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer, you will work on a wide variety of exciting projects amongst a team of dedicated project managers and principals. Our close-knit culture here at GZA will allow you to apply your expertise and diversify your skill set by participating in challenging projects. You will be mentored by seasoned professional engineers and scientist, who will in turn look to you to share technical knowledge and ideas. Our success relies on this collaborative environment.
Key Duties:
- Perform field tasks and assist with the technical execution of projects.
- Conduct and prepare site designs, prepare feasibility studies, and develop recommendations.
- Prepare engineering inspection, feasibility, and design reports.
- Assist project managers and senior staff on a variety of civil and environmental engineering projects, including hydrogeology, soil and water sampling, and QA/QC responsibilities on environmental remediation and construction sites.
- Prepare construction and bid documents including drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
- GZA emphasizes a One Company environment, and as a member of our team, you may be asked to assist on projects and tasks outside of your primary responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.
- 1 years of relevant work experience.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and EIT certification a plus.
- Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and/or ArcMap GIS skills preferred.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a professional attitude.
- Ability to perform field tasks and activities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Occasional out-of-town travel will be required. Candidate must have consistent means of transportation to/from project sites.
