Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams and assess ocular health.
- Diagnose and treat ocular conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, and more.
- Prescribe corrective lenses or specialty contact lenses based on individual patient needs.
- Educate patients on eye health, prevention, and long-term care plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers for referrals and co-management.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health record systems (EHR).
- Stay informed about new clinical protocols and advancements in optometry.
What We’re Looking For
✅ Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
✅ Active California license to practice optometry
✅ Strong foundation in primary eye care and ocular disease
✅ Excellent interpersonal skills and a patient-first mindset
✅ Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
✅ Commitment to clinical excellence and ethical patient care
Preferred Skills & Experience
-Experience with pediatrics, geriatrics, or specialty contact lenses
-Proficiency with diagnostic tools like OCT, retinal imaging, and visual fields
-Bilingual proficiency is a plus to better serve the local patient base
-Background in optical sales or dispensary management is beneficial
