As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you'll deliver and ensure the highest quality patient-centered care. You'll assess patient health / healthcare needs, assist providers with consultation, treatment, procedures, and follow-up care, and advocate and problem-solve for patients. We are looking for: - a licensed vocational nurse degree; license to practice vocational nursing in Texas - 6 years of experience as an LVN in an outpatient / ambulatory setting What is the work? Patient Care: - Provides direct and indirect patient care; responds to all requests personably and accurately; accommodates special requests when possible - Performs patient intake interviews and pre-examination procedures; takes medical histories; checks / records vital signs; conducts patient assessments; documents data and assessments in medical records - Draws blood; administers treatments; collects lab specimens; assists physicians with exams / other medical procedures - Performs diagnostic tests; arranges patient follow-up - Serves as liaison / coordinates patient care with other medical providers / specialty services - Provides patient health counseling / instruction related to pre- and post-procedures, use of devices and equipment, prescriptions, etc. - Maintains medical supplies, inventory, and disposal - Maintains collaborative, professional relationships with clinic staff - Ensures regulatory compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA - Supports development of disease / condition-specific clinical care programs What is your background? - Licensed vocational nurse degree - Current valid license to practice Vocational Nursing in the State of Texas - AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card - 6 years of experience as an LVN in an outpatient / ambulatory setting - Experience working with electronic health records (preferred) Do you have what it takes to be a fit as a LVN at H-E-B Wellness Primary Care? - Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills - Strong verbal / written / listening communication skills - Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills - Organization and time-management skills - Bi-lingual (English - Spanish) skills (preferred) - Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; adaptability; flexibility; attention to detail - Ability to work as a key part of a team Can you... - Function in a fast-paced clinic / office environment - Sit / stand for extended periods of time - Regularly lift up to 20 lbs - Work extended hours and / or rotating schedules 11-2018
