To support our manufacturing and warehouse campus locations, the H-E-B Industrial Facility Services team provides maintenance, repair, and construction in ammonia refrigeration, plant utilities, automated systems, and building services.As an Assistant Stationary Systems Operator, you'll perform manual labor work and basic maintenance tasks, including cleaning, painting, and organizing in shops and machine rooms that serve H-E-B warehousing and manufacturing facilities.Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service. 'Partner-owned' means our most important resources--People--drive the innovation, growth, and success that make H-E-B The Greatest Omnichannel Retailing Company.Do you have a:HEART FOR PEOPLE... willingness to be respectful to / honest with others?HEAD FOR BUSINESS... ability to seek out opportunities to learn / develop yourself?PASSION FOR RESULTS... initiative?We are looking for:- a high school diploma, or equivalent- 6 months of work experienceWhat is the work?Maintenance / Troubleshooting / Repair & Replacement:Refrigeration Operations- With instruction, performs basic water testing and chemical treatment on plant cooling systems- Transports salt using forklift / manual pallet jack; replenishes saltwater softeners- Independently performs basic cleaning, straightening, organizing in Plant machine roomsRefrigeration Mechanical- With supervision, performs PM tasks on refrigeration equipment, including scraping, sanding, and painting- Assists higher-level operators to install / troubleshoot / maintain / repair industrial refrigeration mechanical equipmentRefrigeration Electrical- With provided training, applies basic understanding of electrical diagrams- Learns to use basic electrical test equipment (amp meter, voltage / ohm multimeter) to perform electrical measurements to determine proper equipment operation and basic troubleshooting on AC / DC circuits up to 120 volts- Assists higher-level operators to troubleshoot / repair / maintain more complex electrical equipment and systemsRefrigeration Maintenance- Preserves piping / equipment by preparing surfaces and applying a variety of paint coatings- Learns to independently perform basic mechanical integrity inspections for insulated pipe systems and pipe supports- Occasionally assists higher-level operators to troubleshoot / maintain / repair more complex refrigeration equipment- Assists senior technicians to transport equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites- Assists in cleaning debris, scrap material, ice, water, or oil from job sites; disposes of properlyBoiler Operations- Performs boiler water and feed water testing and treatment- Preserves piping / equipment by preparing surfaces and applying a variety of paint coatings to steam equipmentBoiler Maintenance & Repair- Assists higher-level operators to prepare boilers for state, local, and insurance inspections- With supervision, performs basic PM tasks on steam equipment, including scraping, sanding, and painting- Assists higher-level operators to troubleshoot / maintain / repair more complex steam equipmentCompliance / Safety:- Follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) to complete work orders, parts requisitions, and lockout / tagoutWhat is your background?- High school diploma, or equivalent- 6 months of work experience- 40-hour HAZMAT certification (or ability to acquire / maintain)Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Asst Stationary Systems Operator?- Strong organization and time-management skills- Verbal / written communication skills- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; attention to detail- Ability to speak and read English- InitiativeCan you...- Work while standing, sitting, stooping, walking, bending, with hands over head, and in prone position- Climb; work from a 25-foot ladder and other elevated work platforms (manlift, scissor lift, catwalk, silo)- Occasionally lift and carry 90 lbs- Work in extreme temperatures ranging from -20 to 130 degrees- Pass an annual HAZMAT physical05-2022
