We are looking for a senior level Cloud Engineer who is passionate about open-source software, Linux, and OpenStack to design and develop systems that empower HEB’s on-prem and edge delivery.

 

As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer on the Private Cloud Engineering team, you’ll be building a new, own brand technology experience using open-source technology. Your work will bring a new cloud platform to a wide range of users across HEB in both datacenter and edge formats. This role requires a software developer with a passion for automating infrastructure as code.

Who you are:

• Love working with curious, passionate, team-oriented engineers!
• Passionate about product development and customer experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• Value soft skills and are comfortable mentoring and empowering others
• Experience with private cloud datacenter and edge concepts using open-source technology (OpenStack)
• Experience and/or interest with two or more of the following: Linux, OpenStack, Kubernetes, KVM, Ceph, Ansible
• Enjoy learning and improving your understanding of how the technology you build supports customers and HEB

What you will do:

• Proactively collaborate with a distributed team
• Write high quality code to create new features that empower customers!
• Ensure the success of OpenStack platform on multiple distributed architectures
• Design and build tools to improve the reliability, availability, and scalability of HEB systems
• Guarantee quality, reliability, and availability starting with metrics and measurements
• Empower scalability by developing tools, training Partners, and/or augmenting processes
• Influence, design and create new architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale enterprise systems
• Root-cause analysis complex problems involving multiple parties, networks, hardware, and software that relate to scaling and performance
• Work from home but open to travel for team meetings, collaboration, and events
