H. E. Neumann, a leading provider of Commercial, Residential, and Industrial Mechanical Contracting services, is seeking a Commercial Estimator to join our growing team operating out of our Wheeling, WV location!
Responsibilities include:
- Utilize (QuoteExpress) an on-screen Mechanical Take-off program.
- Prepare and present bid proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements and address any concerns.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary data for accurate estimating.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Provide input on value engineering and cost-saving measures to enhance project efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bid documents, and project correspondence.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontracts to obtain quotes and ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or a related field is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in Commercial Mechanical Estimating.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
