We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bridge Engineer to join our growing Reston, VA Team.
We are currently expanding our design services to support client and project needs in the Structural / Transportation focus areas. The successful candidate will assist in the design of simple and complex fixed bridges, movable bridges, and perform bridge inspections as part of a highly technical group. Responsibilities
- Perform structural design and analysis tasks for projects including bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects under the oversight of a Senior Engineer
- Prepare detailed plans and construction documents for the assigned tasks
- Perform engineering calculations pertaining to, and in support of, the detailed plans and construction documents developed
- Develop contract specifications, contract bid documents, and technical report writing
- Occasionally perform bridge inspections and load ratings on local agency structures
