We are seeking a talented Corporate Project Engineer with a background in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering mechanical engineering services and support to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production while overseeing cost-effective capital and major maintenance projects.
What You’ll Do
- Conceptualize, develop, and execute capital projects from start to finish.
- Create detailed scopes of work, budgets, and schedules to drive project success.
- Prepare Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) requests and support project construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Collaborate with supervisors, tradespeople, operators, and purchasers to optimize project outcomes.
- Provide expertise in designing and enhancing equipment for maximum reliability and performance.
- Engage contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure project alignment.
- Conduct thorough engineering reviews of project plans, drawings, materials, and installations.
- Facilitate and lead internal and external project review meetings with stakeholders.
- Oversee trades and contractors, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for consulting engineers, contractors, suppliers, and external agencies.
- Travel to U.S. manufacturing facilities to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, assess equipment, and share best practices and corporate standards.
- Analyze process flows and equipment functionality to improve operations.
- Manage a variety of communication tasks, including progress reports, presentations, and updates for peers, managers, and team members.
- Support facility shutdowns, safety initiatives, and other assigned projects.
- Apply knowledge of external codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, Building Code).
- Contribute to the development of internal safety and project standards.
- Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution.
- 3-5 years of recent experience in construction project management within heavy manufacturing industries (e.g., Metal, Steel, Wood, Automotive).
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in reading Civil, Structural, and Mechanical Drawings.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with experience planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring work to meet project goals.
- Advanced computer skills, including MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Power BI.
- Proven problem-solving and project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with a passion for growth, learning, and success.

- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
