Position : Design Project Engineer
Summary : The individual in this role will collaborate with multiple departments, including Engineering, Production, and Maintenance, to develop and design machinery, equipment, and fixtures to improve our internal manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented go-getter with a strong ability to come up with unique solutions while keeping various factors and dependencies in mind when developing solutions. This role requires an open mind to solve complex problems while keeping a detail-oriented approach when developing solutions.
Job Responsibilities :
- Design equipment and machinery to increase throughput, increase safety, and improve quality of both new and existing internal manufacturing operations using 3D modeling.
- Providing accurate and detailed information for use of manufacturing, assembly, and implementation of projects.
- Communicate with various departments to develop project plans to ensure the timely completion of projects and manage them accordingly.
- Seeing projects all the way through from initial concept generation to implementation.
- Working with outside companies to gather quotes and other useful information required by projects.
- Proactiveness, willing to learn, hands on, willing to be the liaison between real manufacturing parts and the design concept process.
