Shift Details:
Weekend 1st shift is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with 3 12-hour shifts from 6:45am to 6:45pm. This shift works 36 hours, paid for 40 hours, with no overtime available. As a Fabrication Support Specialist at H-J Family Enterprises, you will play a vital role in the production process, ensuring the highest level of quality in all parts produced. This entry-level position encompasses a variety of duties, including sandblasting, part cleaning, and operating a cut saw station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow production paperwork (work orders) to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Sandblast brazed copper and welded aluminum components to meet quality standards.
- Deburr parts with a drill press and clean parts coming from the brazing line.
- Operate the cut saw station, loading and unloading material, setting up the saw to specified lengths, cutting, and stacking materials as outlined by work orders.
- Maintain a satisfactory level of efficiency and quality in work produced.
- Demonstrate safety awareness, good workmanship practices, and continuous improvement.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Production experience is a plus, but not required.
- Basic computer skills are necessary for completing tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work in a high-heat environment is essential.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
- Must be available to work overtime hours on a shift or mandatory Friday overtime.
Education Requirements:
- High School equivalent and 18 years of age are required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times a day.
- Must be able to stand for the vast majority of the shift.
- Must be able to perform manual work in a non-climate-controlled factory setting.
