Summary Of Job
Handles Project Accounting and Administration of Design, and Construction Contracts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conduct executive, management, and operational level training for all consultants and contractors submitting program invoices.
- Conducts invoice processing training for all program staff members.
- Reviews Work Orders, before execution for contract compliance and fund availability.
- Reviews invoices and ensures contract requirements are met
- Understands the various state & federal compensation methods and their applications as applicable.
- Check all invoice calculations.
- Monitors and ensures intermediate established invoice processing times are achieved by the Project.
- Manager and Executive Management to track the invoice through the process until payment is issued.
- Validates availability of funds in the Program Financial Summary.
- Reconciles MARTA financial system purchase order line balances.
- Performs work in a safe manner and actively encourages others to do the same.

Education And/or Experience
- Minimum Required Education: Associate’s Degree (Experience may be substituted for education requirements).
- Minimum Required Experience: 1 year with engineering, architectural, construction or government agency, and 2 years related experience or a combination of education and experience totaling 5 years.
- Accuracy, Analytical, Technical skills.

- Strong “People” Skills.
- Strong service (engineering, architectural, construction, etc.) contract experience.
- Good organizational skills.
- Knowledge of engineering, architectural and construction invoice processing procedures and project accounting.
- Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) per diem.
- Advance knowledge of Oracle, OLIS
- Advance knowledge of all Microsoft Suites, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Use of general office equipment such as phones, copiers, facsimiles and adding machines.
