SUMMARY
Russell is currently seeking a Power BI Developer/Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and administering Power BI dashboards and reports, while also ensuring optimal performance and security of the Power BI environment. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze requirements and transform data into actionable insights that drive business performance. This role will also include maintaining the Power BI infrastructure and managing user access and permissions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the business needs.
- Work with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Manage Power BI access and permissions, ensuring the security and integrity of the data.
- Optimize Power BI datasets for performance and usability.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
- Support end users with troubleshooting and report modification requests.
- Implement best practices for Power BI design and architecture.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and tools.
- Conduct training sessions to empower business users to leverage Power BI effectively.
- Manage the Power BI service, including workspaces, datasets, reports, and apps.
- Support integration efforts between the program management system and other enterprise software systems (e.g., ERP, document management, etc.).
- Assist in developing reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support project tracking and decision-making.
- Ensure system compliance with organizational and legal data security policies and industry standards.
- Perform work in a safe manner and actively encourage others to do the same.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience with Power BI development and administration.
- Strong knowledge of Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and M Language.
- Experience with SQL, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of best practices in data visualization and dashboard design.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with Azure Data Services or other cloud-based analytics platforms is a plus.
