Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic mechanical abilities, and experience with plant operation and maintenance. They should also possess strong leadership and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Know and follow company start and stop procedures
- Perform daily greasing and oil checks on crushers and screens
- Keep walkways clear of any debris and report spillage issues to the superintendent
- Perform daily guarding inspections and plant checks and report any maintenance issues to the superintendent
- Inspect screen media to ensure proper condition for maximum production
- Keep operating booth clean and free from any inappropriate materials
- Carry out duties and work procedures to meet production schedules
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of quarry operations and work crew
- When needed/required, assist workers in solving production problems
- Fill out necessary paperwork daily
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) OR one month of related experience and/or training
- Basic mechanical abilities
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Leadership and teamwork skills
- Safety-focused
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
