Duties
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to customer specifications.
- Ensure all meat products are packaged properly for display and sale.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat cutting area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist customers with their meat selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and exceptional service.
- Operate cutting tools and equipment safely, including knives and saws.
- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and report any shortages or quality issues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the department.
Requirements
- Proven experience in meat cutting or a related role within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Excellent knife skills with attention to detail in meat preparation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while providing outstanding customer service.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques related to meat preparation is a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
